The “winter” mtb, or fat-bikes, are bikes with wide wheels suitable for snow and low temperatures. These bikes are ideal for those who want to keep pedaling even in the cold season... They also represent an exciting innovation to experience the thrill of riding on snow!
Guess what, fat-bikes are now also available in an assisted pedaling version!
With a fat bike along breathtaking excursions in the whiteness of Alpe Cimbra
Snow that falls abundantly on woods, villages and mountain pastures creates unique and exciting landscapes not to be missed. For this reason, Alpe Cimbra Bike offers you intriguing beaten itineraries to go to with your fat bike.
There are over 30 km in total along which you can ride on the snow. There are paths for those who want to try hard climbs and descents full of adrenaline, and tracks for those who prefer to go slow and listen to the deep silence of the snowy landscapes.
Among the simplest routes, useful for starting to master the fat bike, there is the one of Passo Coe: an essentially flat route that runs along ski slopes, bars and ski lodges.
On the other hand, if you are looking for a place far from the social life where you can easily ride your fat bike on the snow, we recommend the Ecken tour.
A fat bike itinerary more challenging is the “Giro delle Coe” which descends to Lake Coe and goes up towards the Bocca di Val Orsara among the gentle snowy landscapes and pastures.
An itinerary for fat bike without snow? The climb to Cima Vezzena: once you arrive at your destination, the view will literally leave you speechless.
Cycling on the snow between technique and adventure
You have to cover yourself up adequately to face the winter climate from the two wheels, wearing warm clothes and boots that allow a good grip on the pedal.
